Jack Cowin, their founder and the majority shareholder, launched the first of their restaurants located in Innaloo, Perth in 1971.
Hungry Jack’s is a proudly Aussie owned business with more than 50 years of tradition. With over 440 locations serving all major cities across Australia and employing over 19,000 Aussies. They also serving over 1.7M Australians per week and serve over the 125 million Australian beef patties per year.
They’ve been making fresh burgers to order for over fifty years, and their patrons can customize their burgers exactly how they prefer them for as long.
Hungry Jack’s success isn’t an artifact of rocket science. It’s about providing good food, hiring amazing people and serving solid communities. All done with integrity.
There’s nothing untrue about the food served by Hungry Jack. They only utilize cage-free fresh cracked eggs. Each change in their menu depends on the needs of customers are looking for, such as the gourmet Grill Masters burger range, and the switch from regular fries to chip slices that are thick and well-cut.
In addition to being an incredibly proud Aussie company, Hungry Jack’s is the master Australian franchise of the Burger King Corporation. However, for reasons that are too mundane to cover here, in the year 1991, it was announced that the Burger King Corporation opened it’s doors in NSW under the Burger King trademark. After three years of confusion, everyone was of the opinion that the strength of the single Aussie company and 30-year history of the Hungry Jack trademark was the most effective solution.
Hungry Jack’s employs over 19,000 Australians. Each one starting from the youngest part-time crew member up to the highest-ranking regional manager, has some of Hungry Jack’s genetics: the part that inspires them to bring smiles to people’s faces each day.
In Hungry Jack’s they use only the finest ingredients. They work closely with the most reliable vendors in Australia to offer the finest, authentic flavors. The Burgers are Better.
